Gameplay
The main objectives of the game are constant battles with opponents. But when you're not fighting—you're building. Erect buildings and structures, fortify them, and upgrade them. You obtain resources for construction and modernization through battles. You can also use these resources to hire new troops.
Initially, you are provided with a small base somewhere on the outskirts of a vast map, along with a small army. Your base needs to be transformed into a large-scale military empire, and your army into a powerful war machine. And it's better not to delay upgrading either of them, because the enemy never sleeps. A sudden enemy attack could end badly for you.
Over time, upgrading buildings and troops will take more and more time. Therefore, it's best to rationally allocate your forces and time—if, of course, you truly want to become a General.

A key feature of the game is alliances. In this Generals: Art of War overview, it's impossible not to mention that this is a multiplayer online game. So surviving here alone is difficult, illogical, and costly. It's better to join or create an alliance, and always have allies and friends who, in a tough moment, can back you up, protect you, and throw some resources your way.
Since this is a military strategy, the military equipment here is excellent. There are tanks, artillery, infantry, and aviation. The greater your military might, the less damage you will suffer during both attack and defense. This military might depends on many factors: the number of enemies defeated in attacks, new buildings, upgrades to military structures, researching new technologies, and so on. No building or structure is pointless. Everything is interconnected! So it's better to carefully plan your military tactics if you don't want to be defeated.
