The system of quests in "Tarkov" will be freer

The developers of Escape from Tarkov announced a major overhaul of the side-job system in the upcoming update 1.1.0.0. The main goal of the changes is to make progress less linear and to free players from being rigidly tied to quest chains.

Most jobs will now open non-sequentially as the merchant’s loyalty level (LL) increases. To move to a new level, you just need to complete a certain number of tasks. In doing so, the range of goods sold by traders will be tied to loyalty levels rather than to completion of specific missions.

The awards will also change, with the emphasis shifting from barter items to cash payments. The exception will be only rare quest chains, rewards that players can see in advance.

The community’s response has been mixed: some welcome freedom of choice, others fear that it will upset the balance of progress. How exactly the innovations will affect "Tarks", we’ll know soon.
