Rockstar Games confirmed the unpleasant feature of physical editions of GTA 6 for PlayStation 5: the activation codes of the game are rigidly linked to the region of the account. This means that a key purchased in another country may simply not work.

The situation causes further frustration among fans, as physical copies of the game are delivered without a disk - inside the box there is only code to download. However, Xbox owners will not face this problem: their codes do not have a regional reference.

Developers strongly recommend that you purchase the game strictly from the store in the region where your PSN account is registered. Japan, where the code’s validity is limited to 170 days from its release date, is of particular interest. If you plan to save money by buying a key in another region, be careful - activation may not be possible.
