The developers of the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall have revealed the details of the ending system. The game will have five possible endings, including two secret ones. Notably, the ending is not tied to specific "edges" in the dialogues - the game will take into account your overall style of progression.
As the director John McKellan has explained, the bottom line will be influenced by a combination of factors: from how aggressive you are in combat to the thoroughness of your research. The system is designed so that the ending feels like a natural result of your actions, not just a list choice.
The three main endings are available on first pass. To see the two secret endings, players must go to "New Game+". The details of their receipt are kept strictly secret to keep the series' fans intriguing.
